Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Land Rights Project Manager to lead land strategy across major infrastructure projects and to build and lead a team of land professionals. This high-impact role shapes project outcomes while navigating complex stakeholder environments.

You will manage land acquisition, access strategies and negotiations, coordinate external consultants, and align land plans with programme milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in land acquisition, land rights and access agreements.
• Stakeholder, landowner and community engagement.
• DCOs, NSIPs and/or CPOs experience.
• Delivery of infrastructure projects through development, consenting and construction.
• Strong commercial, programme and risk management.
• Leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Managing consultants and external delivery partners.
• MRICS or FRICS is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead land acquisition, land rights and access strategies across complex infrastructure projects.
• Manage and develop a team of land professionals.
• Direct external consultants and specialist delivery partners.
• Develop and implement land plans aligned to programme objectives and milestones.
• Build relationships with landowners, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations and resolve land, access and stakeholder challenges.
• Manage budgets, commercial performance, programme delivery and risk.
• Drive continuous improvement across land delivery activities.
