Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Land Rights Project Manager for a contract role across the UK, with a hybrid working model. You will lead a team of land rights specialists delivering large infrastructure projects within the Land, Planning and External Affairs function.

You will act as an expert witness in Public Inquiries and Compulsory Purchase cases, manage stakeholder relationships, report milestones and financials, and support the Head of ETNI/SINI Land Teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing large-scale land projects.
• Proven ability to guide and support within a team setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to advise teams.

Responsibilities

• Guide a diverse team of land rights specialists from inception to completion.
• Provide expert advice and technical support to the team.
• Lead surveyors and land officers for major infrastructure builds.
• Act as expert witness in Public Inquiries, Compulsory Purchase, and Land Tribunal cases.
• Implement National Grid’s Land Rights Strategy consistently and economically.
• Report progress, milestones, risks and finances to stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and communicate complex ideas.
