National Grid is seeking a Land Rights Project Manager to lead land strategy across major infrastructure projects and to build and lead a team of land professionals. This high-impact role shapes project outcomes while navigating complex stakeholder environments.

You will manage land acquisition, access strategies and negotiations, coordinate external consultants, and align land plans with programme milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in land acquisition, land rights and access agreements.
• Stakeholder, landowner and community engagement.
• DCOs, NSIPs and/or CPOs experience.
• Delivery of infrastructure projects through development, consenting and construction.
• Strong commercial, programme and risk management.
• Leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Managing consultants and external delivery partners.
• MRICS or FRICS is desirable, but not essential.

At National Grid, we're delivering The Great Grid Upgrade: a multi-billion-pound investment to modernise Britain's electricity network, connect cleaner energy and strengthen energy security across the UK.

We're looking for a Land Rights Project Manager to lead land strategy across major infrastructure projects while developing and leading a team of land professionals.

This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to influence project outcomes, navigate complex stakeholder environments and help deliver the infrastructure that will support Britain's energy future for decades to come.

Location

Hybrid working with access to Warwick, Birmingham, Leeds or London offices, alongside travel to project and stakeholder locations as required.

What you'll do

• Lead land acquisition, land rights and access strategies across complex infrastructure projects

What you'll bring

You're an experienced land professional and people leader who thrives in complex project environments and can balance strategic thinking with effective delivery.

You'll likely have experience in

• Land acquisition, land rights and access agreements

• DCOs, NSIPs and/or CPOs
• Delivering infrastructure projects through development, consenting and construction
• Commercial, programme and risk management
• Leading, coaching and developing teams
• Managing consultants and external delivery partners

We're interested in candidates from energy, utilities, transport, rail, water, telecommunications, regeneration, property, local government, consultancy and other major infrastructure sectors.

What you'll get

• A competitive salary between £65,000 - £75,000 - dependent on capability.
• An annual performance bonus of up to 30% of your eligible earnings in the performance year.
