About the role

We are currently working with a leading house builder seeking a Land Manager to join their team based in the North West. Ideally, you come from another high-volume house builder with experience in large projects and tendering land bids.

You should have a track record of successful deals and excellent knowledge of the Lancashire, Chester, Cumbria, and Merseyside regions. Typically, 4+ years post-graduation experience with ambitions to progress. You will collaborate with internal and external consultants to manage projects through the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

1. Sourcing off-market land for purchase in the North West
2. Maintaining contact with housing associations for potential partnerships and joint ventures
3. Liaising and negotiating with landowners and agents
4. Overseeing legal, planning, and design consultants before and after acquisition
5. Staying updated with town planning policies, especially in targeted areas for letter writing

Expected experiences

1. Degree-qualified, preferably in property or related fields
2. A natural deal maker, closing 3-4 land deals annually
3. Experienced senior land manager or ready to step up
4. Proven track record sourcing and acquiring land in the North West
5. Currently employed with a national residential developer, high-profile investor, or agency
6. Deep understanding of planning application and appeals processes
7. Strong network within the land agency industry
