Job Overview

A passionate and dynamic Acquisitions Specialist is required on a freelance basis by a long-established Corporate Intermediary Firm. The role involves dealing directly with the boards of public and private companies, with an interest in corporate strategy and the SME marketplace. Prior M&A, corporate development, or deal origination experience is advantageous but not essential.

Role Details
  • Flexible working arrangements: full-time or part-time, primarily remote, suitable for a self-motivated, experienced professional based anywhere in England.
  • Qualifications: ideally ACA / ACCA / MBA or equivalent, but other qualifications will be considered.
  • Portfolio income streams may include passive investments, non-executive or fractional FD roles, consultancy, online trading, or SME equity holdings.
  • Must have excellent financial/operational analysis, database research, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for deal creation.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience dealing with SME owners and board members of public/private companies.
  • Ability to communicate with entrepreneurial owners and boards, demonstrating gravitas.
