This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent, involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will lead a professional team through the planning process, obtain satisfactory consents, support construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is essential.

The role entails ownership of development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.

Please note, you will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.

Internally, this role is called Senior Acquisitions Consultant.

What you'll do

• Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores
• Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence
• Manage planning applications from submission to approval
• Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
• Oversee the full development and planning process from concept to completion
• Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties

What you'll need

• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
• Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field
• Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
• MRICS qualification is preferred
• Strong negotiating skills and well-established network
• Sound legal and commercial property knowledge
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Analytical mindset
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
