Job Overview

This role offers a salary of £62,000-£90,000 per annum, 35 days’ holiday (pro rata), a 10% in-store discount, and a company car. The successful candidate will be responsible for the expansion and management of Lidl's property portfolio in East Sussex and Kent, overseeing the full asset lifecycle from site identification to ongoing asset management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify, negotiate, and acquire land/sites for new stores.
2. Manage site inspections, development appraisals, and due diligence processes.
3. Lead planning application processes from submission to consent.
4. Oversee development projects from concept to completion.
5. Develop relationships with landlords, tenants, authorities, and developers.
6. Manage real estate assets and support construction phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), ideally in a relevant discipline.
2. Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, or commercial property.
3. MRICS qualification preferred.
4. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Analytical mindset and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
7. Full driving license and willingness to travel within the UK.

Additional Information

You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week. The role is internally titled "Senior Acquisitions Consultant."
