Job summary

GI Group in Wednesbury is seeking a Laminator/Machine Setter to join a leading manufacturing company. You will operate and set up a Foil Laminator, perform start-ups, adjustments and changeovers, monitor quality, and collaborate with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.

The role offers permanent employment with October start and £15 per hour. Previous experience with foil laminating and a manufacturing background (windows/plastics/extrusion) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating laminating machinery (Foil Laminator experience preferred)
• Background in manufacturing—ideally windows, plastics, extrusion or similar environments
• Confident with hands-on machine setting and process adjustments
• Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of Health & Safety standards in a production setting

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up the Foil Laminator to meet production requirements
• Complete machine setting, start-ups, adjustments and changeovers (temperature, line speed, adhesive application, etc.)
• Prepare profiles and foils, ensuring correct materials are loaded and ready for the run
• Monitor performance throughout the shift to maintain quality and maximise output
• Carry out in-process checks to confirm finish, adhesion and colour consistency
• Troubleshoot minor faults and escalate technical issues when needed
• Work safely at all times, keeping the area clean, organised and audit-ready
• Support basic cleaning and routine upkeep of laminating equipment
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to hit daily targets
• Experience working around extrusion / profile manufacturing processes is beneficial

Wednesbury.

This role is due to start

The Role: What you'll be doing

• Operate and set up the

Pay & Shift Pattern

£15 per hour (depending on experience)

Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 17:30
