The Wateredge Inn in Ambleside is seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join its lakeside kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver fresh, high-quality dishes that showcase the best of local produce and seasonal ingredients.

In a fast-paced environment you’ll lead a talented team, manage stock and supplier orders, cost menus, and maintain hygiene and food safety standards while keeping the dining experience smooth for guests.

Qualifications

• Sous Chef with strong leadership and kitchen management experience.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Passion for fresh, quality ingredients.

Responsabilités

• Lead kitchen operations in Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth daily service.
• Manage stock control and ordering from nominated suppliers.
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to meet safety standards.
• Contribute to menu development and cost controls.
• Foster strong working relationships with kitchen, front-of-house and management teams.
