Job summary

The position is temporary, full-time with rate DOE, offering a busy site environment, support from an experienced site management team and opportunities to contribute to site safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep site welfare areas, walkways and work areas clean and tidy.
• Remove rubbish and maintain waste/recycling areas.
• Assist with general site housekeeping and maintain clear access routes.
• Support site management with cleaning duties as required.
• Ensure areas are presentable, organised and safe for all site personnel.
• Follow Site Manager instructions and work safely at all times.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Wear PPE at all times.
• Be flexible to support other general site duties.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as directed by Site Manager.

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Labourer / Building Site Cleaner to join a busy construction site team. This is a practical, hands-on role for a reliable individual who takes pride in keeping work areas clean, safe and well organised. A valid CSCS card is essential.

Essential:

• Valid CSCS card
• Previous building site cleaning, labouring or construction-site experience
• Good awareness of site health and safety requirements

Desirable:

• Experience working on construction or refurbishment projects
• Own PPE

Roles & Responsibilities

• Keep site welfare areas, walkways and work areas clean and tidy.
• Remove rubbish and maintain designated waste and recycling areas.
• Assist with general site housekeeping and maintain clear access routes.
• Support the site management team with cleaning duties as required.
• Ensure work areas remain presentable, organised and safe for all site personnel.
• Follow instructions from the Site Manager and work safely at all times.
• Report hazards, spillages, damaged materials or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment correctly and store them safely.
• Work effectively alongside trades, labourers and subcontractors.
• Maintain good timekeeping and a professional approach on site.
• Wear the required PPE at all times.
• Be flexible to support other general site duties when required.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Site Manager.

Requirements

As a Building Site Cleaner, you will also be expected to:

• Arrive on time and be ready to work for the full shift.
• Keep site areas clean throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
• Communicate clearly with the Site Manager and the wider site team.

Health, Safety & Compliance

All workers are required to:

• Hold and present a valid CSCS card before starting work.
• Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others on site.
• Follow all site rules, health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
