Job summary

The NRL Group is recruiting a Construction Site Cleaner for a busy project at Wilton, Teesside, on a temporary contract. You will maintain cleanliness across site offices, welfare facilities, canteens, changing rooms and toilets while following health and safety procedures.

The role requires reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently or with a team. Prior site cleaning experience is preferred; CSCS card is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or site cleaning experience preferred.
• Construction site experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
• CSCS Card preferred but not essential (depending on site requirements)

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness across site offices, welfare facilities, canteens, changing rooms, and toilet facilities.
• Cleaning and tidying construction work areas, walkways, stairwells, and access routes.
• Removing waste and debris from designated areas and disposing of materials appropriately.
• Restocking consumables such as soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces as required.
• Assisting with general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe working environment.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns to site management.
• Following all site health and safety procedures at all times.

Construction Site Cleaner

Location: Wilton Site, Teesside

Job Type: Temporary Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:30

Pay Rates

• Basic Rate (Mon-Fri, first 9.5 hours per day): £12.71 per hour
• Holiday Credit: £1.53 per hour
• Total Payable Rate: £14.24 per hour

Overtime Rates

• Midweek Overtime & Saturday (first 6 hours):
  • Working Rate: £15.88 per hour
  • Holiday Credit: £1.92 per hour
  • Total Payable Rate: £17.80 per hour
