Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a Labourer/Driver to join GAP Pump & Power Services, based at the depot in Tilbury. You will help keep the yard and workshop clean, and ensure equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for timely, professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power equipment to GAP Group customers, driving safely and in compliance with all road safety laws, with a strong emphasis on customer service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is preferred.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Experience in a hire depot or yard environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Keep depot areas clean and tidy on a day-to-day basis.
• Check and maintain equipment before delivery/collection.
• Ensure timely delivery and collection of Pump & Power equipment to GAP Group customers.
• Drive safely and in accordance with the law.

The Role

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions. Working in the heart of the depot the Labourer/Driver will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards. You will also ensure timeous professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

About You

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment
• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential
