Job summary

GAP Group is hiring a Labourer/Driver to keep the depot clean and ensure equipment is inspected before dispatch. You will deliver and collect Pump & Power Equipment to GAP Group customers, maintaining high standards of safety and service.

The role requires a full driving licence and a track record in a similar environment, with forklift experience being highly beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hire depot or yard is preferred.
• Forklift licence would be beneficial and safety compliant.
• Understanding of health and safety protocols and how to apply them.

Responsibilities

• Keep depot areas clean and tidy on a daily basis.
• Check and maintain equipment before it leaves the depot.
• Ensure timely delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to customers.

About the role

The Role

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

Working in the heart of the depot the Labourer/Driver will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards. You will also ensure timeous professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

About You

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment
• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential
