Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a proactive Labourer to join our Trenching & Shoring Division in London. You will keep the workshop and yard tidy, prepare equipment for hire, and support the team to deliver high service levels across construction, utilities and infrastructure projects.

You will need a Driving License; CSCS card and forklift licence are advantageous. This hands-on role offers real career progression in a growing, family-run business with strong local presence in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Driving license required and a CSCS card and/or forklift licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from customer sites in a safe, timely and professional manner, ensuring all relevant checks and associated administration are completed accurately
