Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a proactive Labourer to help keep our depot running smoothly in the East Midlands. You’ll maintain a clean, hazard‑free workshop and yard, prepare non‑mechanical equipment for hire, and support the wider team to deliver exceptional service across construction and utilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard‑free
• Cleaning equipment and storing it in an orderly fashion
• Quality‑checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it’s hire‑ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
• Operating forklift when necessary
