Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a proactive Labourer to join our Non-Mechanical Division in the UK. You will help keep the depot tidy and safe, prepare equipment for hire, and support the team across construction, utilities, and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in a labourer role or hire depot/yard environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, organised manner with attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Keep workshop and yard clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Clean equipment and store it in an orderly fashion.
• Quality-check equipment before it leaves the depot to be hire-ready.
• Assist with general workshop duties as required.
• Carry out driving duties (licence required) and help loading/unloading vehicles.
• Operate forklift when needed.

We're looking for a proactive and hardworking Labourer to join our high-performing Non-Mechanical Division. As a Labourer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our depot runs smoothly and safely. You'll maintain a clean and hazard-free workshop and yard, prepare Non-Mechanical equipment for hire, and support the wider team to deliver exceptional service to our customers across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

This is a hands-on role offering real career progression in a company that invests in its people.

What You'll Be Doing

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
• Operating forklift when necessary

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous
