Job summary

Randstad CPE in Reigate, Surrey is seeking a reliable Traffic Marshall / Site Labourer for an ongoing project. You will manage vehicle access and traffic safety at the site entrance while assisting with general labouring duties when quieter delivery periods occur.

Role requires valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or Lantra), CSCS card, full PPE, and right to work in the UK. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM; pay £15.00-£16.50 per hour, with weekly CIS/Umbrella or

Qualifications

• Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or Lantra) is essential.
• Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above) is required.
• Full PPE: high‑vis jacket/trousers, steel toe boots, hard hat, gloves supplied.
• Previous experience in gate/traffic management and labouring preferred.
• Right to work in the UK and reliable, punctual, and safety‑minded.

• Traffic Control: Safely guiding construction vehicles and plant using hand signals.
• Gate & Pedestrian Safety: Manage safety near entry points and keep walkways clear.
• Delivery Logging: Check in drivers, inspect delivery notes, direct to unloading bays.
• General Labouring: Assist trades, clear waste, sweep routes, tidy skips during downtime.
• Enforce site traffic management plans and health & safety standards.

About the Role

We are recruiting a reliable Traffic Marshall / Site Labourer for an ongoing project in Reigate, Surrey.

This is a dual-purpose role where you will manage vehicle access and traffic safety at the site entrance, while assisting with general labouring duties across the site during quieter delivery periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Traffic Control: Safely guiding construction vehicles, delivery lorries, and plant machinery into and out of site gates using standard hand signals.


• Gate & Pedestrian Safety: Managing pedestrian safety near site entry points and keeping public walkways clear of site traffic.


• Delivery Logging: Checking in delivery drivers, inspecting delivery notes, and directing lorries to designated unloading bays.


• General Labouring: Assisting site trades, clearing construction waste, sweeping access routes, and keeping skips tidy during delivery downtime.


• Strictly enforcing site traffic management plans and health & safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or Lantra accredited essential).


• Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above).


• Full PPE (High-vis jacket & trousers, steel toe boots, hard hat, and safety gloves).


• Previous experience in a combined gate, traffic management, and labouring role.


• Strong communication skills, punctual, and highly dependable.


• Right to work in the UK.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).


• Start Date: Immediate / Upcoming.


• Duration: Long-term ongoing work.


• Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options.
