Job summary

Randstad CPE is currently recruiting a reliable General Labourer for a commercial construction site in Tonbridge, with a start towards the end of October 2026.

This full-time position offers 40–45 hours per week, paid weekly, and ongoing work through autumn and winter with an established contractor. You will support trades, move materials, and keep access routes clear while adhering to safety rules and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above) is required.
• Full PPE provided and worn on site (boots, hi-vis, hard hat, gloves).
• Previous general site labouring experience.
• Hard-working, punctual and dependable work ethic.
• Physically fit and able to manual handling and long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist site trades (bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers) with daily operations.
• Unload deliveries and move building materials safely around site.
• Keep access routes, stairwells and walkways clear and hazard-free.
• General site maintenance and manage recycling skips.
• Follow site health and safety rules and wear full PPE at all times.

Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on pay type)

About the Role

We are recruiting a reliable, hard-working General Labourer for an upcoming position on a commercial construction site in Tonbridge, starting towards the end of October 2026.

This role offers full-time hours, consistent weekly pay, and steady ongoing work through the autumn and winter months with an established contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting site trades (bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers) with daily site operations.
• Unloading delivery trucks and safely moving building materials across site.
• Keeping access routes, stairwells, and walkways clear, safe, and free of hazards.
• General site maintenance, sweeping work areas, and managing recycling skips.
• Following site health & safety rules and wearing full PPE at all times.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above essential).
• Full PPE (Steel toe-cap boots, high-vis vest/jacket, hard hat, and safety gloves).
• Previous general site labouring experience.
• Hard-working, punctual, and dependable work ethic.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
• Right to work in the UK.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).
• Start Date: End of October 2026.
• Duration: Long-term / ongoing work.
• Weekly pay via PAYE, Umbrella, or CIS options.
