Job summary

GAP in Manchester is seeking a Labourer to join our Welfare Services division. You will help maintain a tidy depot, keep hazards at bay, and ensure tools and equipment are stored properly. Responsibilities include preparing portable toilets and ADA units for customers, and updating logs as required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and attention to detail in a dynamic depot setting. A CSCS card and driving licence are preferable, with opportunities for career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a labourer, preferably in a hire depot/yard environment.
• Demonstrates reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced depot environment.
• Willingness to support colleagues with additional tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Keep workshop and yard areas tidy and clear of hazards.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored away correctly.
• Prepare equipment, including portable toilets, leaving the depot clean and ready for customers.
• Update logs accurately.

Our team is the best in the industry - is it time for you to join us? Our Welfare Services division hires a range of portable chemical toilets and ADA approved wheelchair access units alongside mobile eco welfare units. Working in the heart of the depot, the Labourer is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy whilst ensuring those areas are clear of any hazards and that tools are store away correctly. The Labourer is also responsible for any equipment, including portable toilets, leaving the depot have been pressure cleaned and ready for the customer, whilst updating logs accurately.
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment
• Strong team player who is willing to support their colleagues with additional tasks when required
• Ability to work to own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
• CSCS card and driving licence is preferable
