Job summary

GAP Group Limited in Dundee is seeking a proactive Labourer for our Plant & Tool Division. You will keep the workshop and yard clean, prepare plant equipment for hire, and support the team to deliver excellent service across construction sectors.

This hands-on role offers real career progression in a company with 50+ years of experience, investing in people. A CSCS card and forklift and driving licence are advantageous; you’ll join a safety‑conscious team that values reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Cleaning plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion.
• Refuelling plant and machinery, updating fuel logs.
• Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire-ready.
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required.
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Operating forklift when necessary.

What You'll Be Doing
