Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. in Manchester is seeking a Labourer for our Welfare Services division. You will help keep the depot clean, tidy and safe, while ensuring equipment, including portable toilets, is ready for customers.

Based in a fast-paced hire depot, you will pressure-clean units, update logs, and support colleagues as part of a busy team. We value reliability and initiative.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a labourer, preferably in a hire depot/yard.
• Strong team player who supports colleagues with additional tasks.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment.
• CSCS card and driving licence are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Keep workshop and yard areas clean and tidy and free of hazards.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored away correctly.
• Pressure clean portable toilets and ADA units leaving depots ready for customers.
• Update logs accurately.

About the role

The Role

Our team is the best in the industry – is it time for you to join us?
Our Welfare Services division hires a range of portable chemical toilets and ADA approved wheelchair access units alongside mobile eco welfare units.
Working in the heart of the depot, the Labourer is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy whilst ensuring those areas are clear of any hazards and that tools are store away correctly. The Labourer is also responsible for any equipment, including portable toilets, leaving the depot have been pressure cleaned and ready for the customer, whilst updating logs accurately.

About You

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment
• Strong team player who is willing to support their colleagues with additional tasks when required
• Ability to work to own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
• CSCS card and driving licence is preferable
