Job description

Role: Lab Technician

Location: Berkshire

Contract Type: Long term Contract

SRG is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a team providing support services to scientists.

The successful candidate will ensure equipment calibration and readiness, maintain stock of consumables, and uphold high standards in R&D labs.

Key skills include solution preparation, cell culture work, and setup/teardown of bioreactors.

Description:

• Routine stock management
• Equipment calibration
• Raising EWRP notifications when required
• Maintaining stock of reusable consumables (autoclaving support)
• General housekeeping
• Maintaining laboratory and housekeeping documentation
• Media and buffer preparation
• Processing departmental stock deliveries
• Arranging shipments
• Supporting 6S implementation in R&D labs
• Supporting R&D team members as required
• Cell culture work for projects
• Supporting bioreactor setup and teardown (lab scale and ambr250)

Education Required:

• Required: Relevant scientific qualification (e.g., A-Level, BTEC)
• Preferred: BSc in Biotechnology or related field
