Job summary

Avantor is looking for a Store Co-ordinator to support the daily operation of a scientific stores function within a Research & Development environment. This busy role involves receiving, storing, and distributing laboratory consumables and materials, while upholding safety, compliance and customer service standards.

No scientific background is required, with training provided. Experience in retail, stockrooms, warehousing, logistics, or inventory management is welcome, and a strong customer

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stockroom, warehouse, or stores.
• Experience using inventory systems.
• Strong stock control and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, and distribute laboratory consumables and supplies.
• Manage stock inventory and ensure materials are available for operations.
• Operate stock management systems to track movements and levels.
• Serve as primary contact for researchers regarding inventory queries.
• Carry out cycle counts and maintain accurate records.
• Create and maintain stock documentation and reports.
• Generate barcodes and maintain shelf labelling systems.
• Monitor usage trends and manage replenishment activities.
• Investigate shortages, lead times, and alternatives when needed.
• Handle materials requiring special storage conditions, including hazardous products.
• Support KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and security requirements.
• Assist during internal audits and regulatory inspections.
• Archive documentation per procedures.
