Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Chemistry or Life Science with demonstrable IT/software skills.
• Experience with Agilent software (OpenLab, Chemstation) is an advantage.
• Experience in analytical techniques (chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy) with practical lab experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent remote troubleshooting skills.
• Structured approach to work with attention to detail.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload and set customer expectations.
• Independent when working with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level reactive and proactive technical services in support of Agilent's software products.
• Be part of a team of remote technical engineers based in Cheadle (Manchester).
• Perform remote troubleshooting on software, hardware and applications.
• Resolve problems to optimise efficiency and uptime of customer systems.
• Office-based 60% / 40% flexible location (Manchester) with travel to customer sites for installs, repairs and servicing.
