Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an L2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Helens. The role begins around October 2026 and runs full-time through December, with potential extension for the right candidate.

You will support pupils across EYFS to KS2, working with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. Enhanced DBS required or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• Confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in classroom and small group interventions.
• Experience supporting children with a range of learning needs including SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the primary age range in the classroom and in small groups.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help them reach their potential.

Job Title: L2 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a motivated and dedicated L2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in St. Helen's from September 2026.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the primary age range, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.

The position is initially until Christmas, with the opportunity to continue beyond this for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

• -Have recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• -Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
• -Have experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND, where required.
• -Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop both academically and socially.
• -Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• -Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
