Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking an L2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southport from October 2026. This full-time role supports pupils across the primary age range and collaborates with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and targeted support.

The position is initially until Christmas, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. Strong teamwork and DBS on Update Service are preferred.

Formación

• Recent experience in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Able to support EYFS/KS1/KS2 and run small group interventions.
• Experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (held or willing to obtain).

This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the primary age range, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.

The position is initially until Christmas, with the opportunity to continue beyond this for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

• Have recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
• Have experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND, where required.
• Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop both academically and socially.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
