Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an L2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the primary age range in Sefton. You will work closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.

The role is full-time from October 2026 until December, with a potential extension for the right candidate. The school offers a supportive environment, opportunities for CPD, and a commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
• Experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop both academically and socially.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the primary age range in the classroom and through small group interventions.
