Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a motivated L2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sefton from October 2026. This full-time role supports pupils across the primary age range, working with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and targeted support.

The position runs until Christmas with a potential to extend. Candidates should have recent UK primary school experience, be able to support EYFS, KS1 or KS2, and hold an Enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain it).

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Ability to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the primary age range in lessons and small groups.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons.

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a motivated and dedicated L2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sefton from October 2026.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the primary age range, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. The position is initially until Christmas, with the opportunity to continue beyond this for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

• Have recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
• Have experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND, where required.
• Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop both academically and socially.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
