Job summary

Axcis Education are working with a SEND school in Birmingham seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to support a KS3 cohort. The role runs Monday to Friday during term time, 8:30am - 4:00pm, with a starting salary of £160 per day.

The KS3 class currently operates at KS2 level, with pupils who have complex needs and autism. The successful applicant will have QTS, SEND experience, and a strong grasp of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation, along with DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching children with SEND.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation.
• Caring, patient and nurturing, with ability to foster relationships.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
• Availability to work full-time, 8:30am–4:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS3 class with complex needs and autism.
• Plan, tailor and differentiate work to meet varied abilities.
• Provide inclusive classroom support for pupils.
• Liaise with staff, SENCOs and parents to monitor progress.
