Job summary

Westfield Academy in Watford is seeking a KS3 SENCO to lead and coordinate high-quality SEND provision across Years 7–9, working with the SENCO, Heads of Year and Inclusion Team to identify needs and secure appropriate support for each student.

You will drive the APDR cycle, coordinate EHCP provision, manage Access Arrangements and ensure effective collaboration with families and external professionals to raise attainment and promote inclusive practice across the Academy.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SEND-related professional development.
• Familiarity with EHCP processes and statutory duties.
• Experience using assessment and attainment data for SEND.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across Years 7–9 under the direction of the SENCO.
• Oversee Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycles for KS3 SEND students.
• Support EHCP provision, Access Arrangements and transition planning.
