Job summary

Teach Now Limited is recruiting for a Key Stage 3 Assistant Special Educational Needs Coordinator in Watford. You will support pupils aged 11–14, work with the SENCO and teachers to keep SEND provision organised and responsive to individual needs.

The role involves maintaining SEND records, tracking support plans and coordinating EHCP reviews, while liaising with families and external professionals to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a secondary school or comparable setting.
  • Sound understanding of SEND provision and KS3 pupils needs.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong written communication and confidence using digital systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain SEND records, support plans and documentation for KS3 pupils.
  • Track interventions, provision and progress, highlighting gaps or changes to the SENCO.
  • Help organise Education, Health and Care Plan reviews, meetings, referrals and follow-up actions.
  • Gather teacher feedback and evidence of the impact of SEND support.
  • Communicate with parents, carers and external professionals while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Help develop consistent SEND processes across year groups.
