Protocol Education are working with a PRU in Ferryhill to recruit a confident KS3 Classroom Teacher. You will deliver engaging KS3 lessons, adapt to varied abilities and support pupils back into education.

The role requires QTS, resilience and strong classroom management to foster consistency and positive relationships. This is a full-time position starting September at a Ferryhill PRU.

KS3 Classroom Teacher – Ferryhill PRU

QTS Teacher | Full Time | September Start | £140–£250 per day

Ready for a teaching role where no two days are the same?

Protocol Education are working with a PRU in Ferryhill who are looking for a confident and passionate KS3 Classroom Teacher.

This isn't simply about delivering lessons. It's about building relationships, adapting your approach and helping young people find their way back into education.

You will need to be a teacher who can remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and understand that sometimes the most effective lesson isn't the one you originally planned!

The role:

• Plan and deliver engaging KS3 lessons.
• Adapt lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs.
• Use a range of teaching approaches to maintain engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Establish clear boundaries and expectations.
• Support behaviour and re‑engagement.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
• Work collaboratively with other staff.

The ideal candidate:

Previous PRU, SEMH or alternative provision experience is a bonus, but we're also interested in teachers from mainstream settings who are ready for a new challenge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
