Job summary

Protocol Education are working with a PRU in Ferryhill to recruit a confident KS3 Classroom Teacher. You will deliver engaging KS3 lessons, adapt to varied abilities and support pupils back into education.

The role requires QTS, resilience and strong classroom management to foster consistency and positive relationships. This is a full-time position starting September at a Ferryhill PRU.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS.
• Has KS3 classroom experience.
• Confident planning and delivering lessons.
• Able to adapt teaching style when needed.
• Resilient, patient and approachable.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Passionate about supporting young people.
• Understands importance of consistency and positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS3 lessons.
• Adapt lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs.
• Use a range of teaching approaches to maintain engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Establish clear boundaries and expectations.
• Support behaviour and re-engagement.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
• Work collaboratively with other staff.
