Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support students with SEND at a Preston based secondary school. The role runs 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, on a full-time, long-term basis.

DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required; a commitment to supporting pupils with autism, Down's syndrome, ADHD and other needs is essential. Salary starts at £14.30 per hour, with the possibility of extension depending on availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adults with SEND.
• Experience in an education setting or similar preferred.
• Hard-working, empathetic, confident and SEND experience.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND during lessons.
• Assist with daily activities in a secondary SEND setting.
• Promote safeguarding and inclusive practice.
