Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1/KS2 Numeracy & Literacy Tutor to work with pupils in the community or at home, delivering personalised, 1-to-1 lessons. The role is part-time and contract-based, with flexible timings to suit families while focusing on re-engagement and building confidence.

You should have QTS or tutoring experience, be patient and empathetic, and able to create learning plans. DBS certificate or willingness to obtain, right to work in the UK, and references are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide numeracy and literacy tutoring to KS1/KS2 students.
• Deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.
• Visit pupils in community or home settings.

Job description

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk - students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.

It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.
