Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant for a Sutton Coldfield school. The role involves 1:1 support for a Year 6 child working at Year 3/4 level, with a focus on progress and engagement.

The successful candidate will have Level 2/3 TA qualifications (or equivalent), experience with SEND, a calm nature, and be able to supply two references. DBS on update service is required or can be applied during registration.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Health and social care / Teaching Assistant / EYFS / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND
• A calming nature, with a passion for making a difference to children's learning
• Able to provide at least 2 reference contact details, covering at least 2 years
• An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service – if you do not currently have a DBS you will be required to apply during registration

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 6 working to Year 3/4 ability
• Support academic progress and engagement for the pupil
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support learning goals
