Job summary

Aspire People are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a one‑form entry village school in South Derbyshire. You will support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and help promote the emotional wellbeing and inclusion of pupils, including those with SEN.

This is a full‑time, long‑term position starting ASAP for the current academic year. Applicants should have a relevant TA qualification or NVQ and be able to provide two references and a current DBS with Update Service (or be willing

Qualifications

• Relevant TA qualification or experience for Teaching Assistant
• NVQ Level 2/3 or minimum 3 months full-time classroom experience
• SEN experience required
• Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Responsibilities

• Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons
• Support the emotional wellbeing of pupils
• Work with SEN students, including those with Autism or challenging behaviour as applicable
• Demonstrate safeguarding and promote welfare of pupils
