Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an individual passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) in Stafford. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to a Key Stage 2 student, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop academically and socially.

Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 student with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate in class activities.
• Offer emotional support and guidance, helping the child build positive social skills.
• Work closely with the class teacher to create and adapt learning strategies to support the child's needs.
• Track and report the child's progress, providing insights and suggestions for future learning goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is highly desirable.
