Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting a qualified Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Four Oaks, North Birmingham. The role is full-time, starting September, supporting two Year 4 pupils with mild SEND in a nurturing environment that encourages confident, independent learning.

You will need a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferred), recent primary experience, and a calm, patient demeanour to enable creative intervention and KS1 curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis.
• Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential.
• Excellent working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

This role will be supporting2 children in Y4 with mild SEND, on a full-time basis. This role is due to start in September and could potentially become permanent for the right candidate.The school encompasses a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to lead their own learning. You will encourage this ethos through your ability to be calm and patient and provide creative intervention.

To be successful in this role you will require:
