Job summary

Aspire People are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a one‑form entry village school in South Derbyshire. You will support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and help promote the emotional wellbeing and inclusion of pupils, including those with SEN.

• NVQ Level 2/3 or minimum 3 months full-time classroom experience
• SEN experience required
• Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Responsibilities

• Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons
• Support the emotional wellbeing of pupils
• Work with SEN students, including those with Autism or challenging behaviour as applicable
• Demonstrate safeguarding and promote welfare of pupils

Job description

Aspire People are looking for a new addition to a Class Team in the role of KS2 Teaching Assistant. In this role you will support the Class Teacher in the delivery of lessons and support the emotional well-being of students. This role is based in a lovely one form entry school based in a village in South Derbyshire. The role requires the candidate to be experienced working with SEN children - experience with Autism and challenging behaviour would be useful but not essential if other experience is similar and adaptable.
