Job summary

Hampton College is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our supportive team. You will assist with targeted learning for pupils across Key Stage 2, work closely with teachers and the SENDCo, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have prior TA experience and be skilled in literacy and numeracy support, with a proactive and flexible approach to meeting diverse pupil needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• KS2 experience would be advantageous.
• Support pupils in literacy and numeracy.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEND).
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Be proactive, flexible and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

• Support individual pupils and small groups with targeted learning.
• Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Assist teachers and SENDCo to monitor pupil progress.
• Carry out midday supervision and supervise pupils during lunch break.
