Job summary

St Margarets at Hasbury CE Primary School in Dudley is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated staff team. The role involves supporting pupils across KS2, providing 1-to-1 and small-group help, and working under direction to inspire and engage learners.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 TA qualification, demonstrate high literacy and numeracy, and show initiative, flexibility and a collaborative approach to education. Visits to the school are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Has at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Will work with children of all abilities in a whole class setting as well as withdrawing individuals and small groups for focused support.
• Will work as 1-1 support.
• Is experienced with working in KS2.
• Has high literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade C or above).
• Is flexible and adaptable and shows initiative.
• Works well in a team and supports the classroom teacher with development and education processes.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS2, including 1-1 and small-group withdrawal for targeted help.
• Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
