Job summary

Keystone Academy Trust is seeking a proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our primary team. You will work with teachers to raise attainment, support high-quality teaching and deliver targeted interventions to help pupils reach their potential.

The role requires confidence in leading groups, strong literacy and numeracy, and the ability to develop independence and resilience in pupils. The position offers ongoing professional development and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and a secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
  • Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to lead groups and deliver structured intervention programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in English and Mathematics.
  • Lead small-group and whole-class learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality academic interventions to accelerate progress and close learning gaps.
  • Develop pupils' understanding of key concepts and deepen subject knowledge.
  • Assess pupil understanding and adapt support to meet learning needs.
  • Create learning resources to enhance classroom provision.
  • Contribute to pupil progress discussions and assess intervention impact.
  • Promote high expectations for learning, behaviour and presentation.
  • Support pupils to develop confidence, independence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes and meet pupils' potential.
