Job summary

Milk Education is assisting a friendly primary school in Kingston upon Thames to recruit a KS2 Teaching Assistant starting in September. You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the KS2 curriculum and help create a positive learning environment where children can thrive.

The role involves supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, working with individuals and small groups, and assisting with English, Maths and wider curriculum lessons.

Qualifications

• Previous primary school experience is desirable.
• KS2 experience would be advantageous.
• Confident supporting children with their learning.
• Strong communication skills.
• Patient, proactive and enthusiastic.
• Able to work effectively as part of a classroom team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Key Stage 2.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support English, Maths and wider curriculum lessons.
• Assist pupils with independent tasks.
• Provide additional support to pupils who require extra guidance.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
• Help prepare classroom resources.
• Work closely with the class teacher to support pupil progress.
