Job summary

Desian Education in St Helens is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS2, delivering targeted Maths and Literacy interventions and assisting teachers in daily lessons.

The role is full-time with immediate start; you will work with small groups and individuals to boost attainment, support pupils with additional needs where required, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant within KS2.
• Strong knowledge of KS2 Maths and Literacy.
• Ability to deliver targeted interventions in small groups.
• Commitment to inclusive education and SEN support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted Maths and Literacy interventions to small KS2 groups.
• Provide classroom support to keep pupils engaged.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Support KS2 activities in line with the curriculum.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Offer SEN support where required.
