Job summary

Tibberton CE First School is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a permanent, part-time post starting in the spring term. The role is mainly class-based support for children in the Lower Key Stage Two classroom, helping with social, emotional and academic development.

As a church school, it expects support for its Christian ethos, and the hours fall across four mornings and one longer day each week. Appointment is conditional on a satisfactory DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.
• Experience of, or interest in, working with children with specific or complex needs.
• Understanding of how children learn, including social and emotional development.
• High expectations for children's progress and achievement.
• Passion for quality teaching and learning.
• Flexible, forward-thinking, innovative and energetic approach.
