Job summary

Hunloke Park Primary School in Wingerworth, near Chesterfield, is seeking a dynamic SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our KS2 team. The role focuses on supporting children with Special Educational Needs and building strong relationships with families.

We welcome applicants with UK Level 3 Teaching and Learning qualifications, a Level 2 English qualification, and desirable SEND experience, Paediatric First Aid, and knowledge of behaviour-support strategies.

Job description

Hunloke Park Primary is a happy and popular school in Wingerworth. The pupils, staff and Governors are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, fun, hardworking and motivated SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated KS2 team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a wide range of knowledge and experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Is warm and friendly and develops excellent relationships with parents and carers.
• Has a sense of humour and is fun, fully embracing all aspects of school life.

Essential:

Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification, which is UK approved as full and relevant by the Department for Education

Suitable Level 2 Qualification in English or equivalent

Desirable:

Experience supporting children with SEND.

Paediatric First Aid training.
