Job summary

Hunloke Park Primary School is seeking a dynamic SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to join its KS2 team. The role involves supporting pupils with SEND, building strong relationships with families, and contributing to a positive school ethos.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification (UK approved) and a Level 2 English qualification, plus relevant safeguarding and health training. DBS checks will apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Ability to develop excellent relationships with parents and carers.
• A positive, friendly attitude; able to work in a busy KS2 environment.

Hunloke Park Primary is a happy and popular school in Wingerworth. The pupils, staff and Governors are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, fun, hardworking and motivated SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated KS2 team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a wide range of knowledge and experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Is warm and friendly and develops excellent relationships with parents and carers.
• Has a sense of humour and is fun, fully embracing all aspects of school life.
• Will embrace our school ethos and add to our brilliant team.

Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification, which is UK approved as full and relevant by the Department for Education

Suitable Level 2 Qualification in English or equivalent

Experience supporting children with SEND.

Paediatric First Aid training.

Knowledge of behaviour-support strategies and early intervention approaches.

Safer Eating and Safer Sleep training.

DFE Early Years and child development training
