Job summary

Hunloke Park Primary School, part of Redhill Academy Trust, invites applications for a SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to join the KS2 team. The post offers progression within a supportive Trust with strong CPD opportunities and the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification, UK approved by the Department for Education
• Suitable Level 2 Qualification in English or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• Paediatric First Aid training
• Knowledge of behaviour-support strategies and early intervention approaches
• Safer Eating and Safer Sleep training
• DFE Early Years and child development training

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs as part of the KS2 team
• Assist with lesson delivery and behaviour management as required

Hunloke Park Primary is a happy and popular school in Wingerworth. The pupils, staff and Governors are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, fun, hardworking and motivated SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated KS2 team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a wide range of knowledge and experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Is warm and friendly and develops excellent relationships with parents and carers.
• Has a sense of humour and is fun, fully embracing all aspects of school life.
• Will embrace our school ethos and add to our brilliant team.

Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification, which is UK approved as full and relevant by the Department for Education

Suitable Level 2 Qualification in English or equivalent

Experience supporting children with SEND.

Paediatric First Aid training.

Knowledge of behaviour-support strategies and early intervention approaches.
