Qualifications

  • QTS is required and essential for the role.
  • Experience teaching KS2 or strong recent primary teaching experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations.
  • Strong classroom management and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Ability to plan inclusive, engaging and well-sequenced lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil progress.
  • DBS via Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

KS2 Teacher – Merton, London

Salary: £37,870 - £56,154 per year (M1 – UPS3 Inner London). Start Date: 1 September 2026. Full-time, permanent contract.

Teach Now is looking for a motivated and capable KS2 Teacher to join a successful primary school in Merton from September 2026. This full‑time, permanent role is ideal for a teacher who can bring energy, structure and ambition to the classroom while supporting pupils to become confident, independent learners. The school offers a supportive and purposeful working environment where staff are encouraged to share ideas, develop professionally and contribute to a positive school culture. Pupils are enthusiastic, leaders are approachable and the school places a strong focus on inclusion, progress and high-quality teaching.

Role

As a KS2 Teacher, you will lead a Key Stage 2 class and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum. You will use strong subject knowledge, effective assessment and creative planning to support pupils’ academic development and prepare them for the next stage of their education.
